In year 3, we have been learning all about a time called Prehistory. This was a time before there was any written records! In the middle Stone Age (Mesolithic period) hunter-gatherers lived in Britain. They moved from place to place to find food and shelter. They had to constantly move around to where food was at different times of the year.
We imagined that we had been transported back millions of years to this time. We couldn’t go to the shops, so we had to think like hunter-gathers in order to survive! We explored our school grounds to look out for any assets that could help us. We had to be really quiet so we didn’t scare the animals. We spotted birds, berries and even mushrooms! When we got back to class, we had a big discussion around what things we thought would be a threat and what would be an asset!
