Ava-Skye and Harrison had been making some Lego models in Lunchtime Club to remind us all to keep practising our healthy routines during the Christmas period. We think their basins and hand sanitizer look realistic!
The children at Harton Primary School have been celebrating their positive attributes as part of a whole school art project. They drew a self-portrait and thought carefully about a positive word to describe themselves, there were some brilliant ideas and fantastic drawings.
The children were able to recognise their best qualities and the things that they like about themselves, helping them to reach their full potential. We were so impressed with how much they celebrate their own achievements and it was so lovely to see how proud of themselves they are.
Year 2 have had an action packed few weeks getting into the festive spirit and have been taking part in some fantastic Christmas activities. The children have designed wonderful Christmas cards and beautiful calendars using paint to create a tree for all seasons.
Christmas party day was brilliant, starting off with an online pantomime which was hilarious – the children got involved, singing along to the songs and shouting at the characters! They had a wonderful time dancing and playing party games in the classroom, we have some fabulous dancers.
They enjoyed a visit to Harton Grotto for hot chocolate with marshmallows, a story and some singing. There was even presents under the tree!
Finally we had visit from Tides of Change, the children made their own Christmas tree decoration using twigs and then roasted marshmallows to make delicious s’mores. It’s been a truly wonderful time and we have enjoyed every minute.
