Good morning,

Today’s activities are now available on Google Classroom.

Today’s English lesson is writing a poem about Chinese New Year using the rhyming words from yesterday to see if you can make the poem rhyme. Read words aloud so you can hear the words with the same sound.

In Maths you are continuing with multiplying with a focus on doubling numbers. We will look at this on the ‘live’ morning session today.

You will be finding out about habitats and microhabitats in Science today.

Today’s activities are now available on Google Classroom. Please remember to just do your best and complete what you can. You also have access to your Numbots and Reading Eggs logins if you wish to do them too.

Today’s English lesson is reading and identifying rhyming words. Read words aloud so you can hear the words with the same sound. This will help you with tomorrow’s lesson.

Maths you are continuing with multiplying. You will be using arrays to help you multiply. We will look at this on the ‘live’ morning session today.

There is guided reading lesson to start the afternoon, listen to the story and then complete the questions.

In PE there is a Joe Wickes session if you would like to complete to help you to stay active.

Today’s activities are now available on Google Classroom. Please remember to just do your best and complete what you can. You also have access to your Numbots and Reading Eggs logins if you wish to do them too.

Today’s English lesson is a bit different as you are going to be performing the poems that you wrote yesterday. Read your poems aloud carefully, speaking clearly and slowly. Have fun! If you wish to send in your poems we would love to hear them. We could even read some of them on the ‘Live’ session this afternoon.

 

Maths you are continuing with multiplying. You will be using arrays to help you multiply. We will look at this on the ‘live’ morning session today.

 

In Art,  you will be continuing to draw a Koi carp. If you can, see if you can use colour. Have a look at the video on Youtube to help you draw your fish if you want to.  Use the step by step guide on the slides to help you create the perfect Koi Carp.

There is another set of tricky word spellings to learn using read, look, cover write and check to help children to remember them. Maths is continuing with multiplication; this lesson will be taught live on google classroom at 9:45 if you would like to join.

In Geography, you will be finding out about Beijing and using this to write a letter.

Hello all, Happy New Year!

We have been very busy today making arrangements for remote learning commencing tomorrow. Learning will take place using Google Classroom.  We have created a ‘year 2’ Google Classroom group, where we will share work daily. Please try login ASAP to make sure you can access.

Any issues accessing Google Classroom please contact the year group email ([email protected]) rather than the school office so we can give you direct support. Please see the step by step instructions below:

Work will be accessible from 8am every morning. For this week, our live classroom sessions will be at 9.45am and 2.30pm when we will discuss lessons and have story time.
