What a lovely day for our egg and spoon race challenge. It looks like the children had lots of fun!
On Saturday, over 200 children from Harton Primary attended the South Shields v Nantwich Town game. All the children had a fantastic time, despite the result, and several children were lucky enough to walk the players onto the pitch.
South Shields FC players Dylan Morse and Luke Daly visited us on Friday along with Steve Camm. They held a question and answer session with the children during assembly and invited every child in the school to come to their game against Nantwich on Saturday. They also invited several lucky children to walk the players onto the pitch as flag bearers.
On January 16th, 23 year 5 children took part in the Newcastle Eagles Hoops4Health basketball tournament. The 3 teams took part in a group stage – comprised of 6 teams per group (30 teams in total from 10 different schools).
Each team worked incredibly hard fought for every point!
Harton 1 and 2 go through to the Play-Offs, and had to face each other. With Harton 2 progressing to the final stage of the tournament, only to be beaten by Biddick Hall in a nail-biting match – losing 4:2 (2 baskets to 1).
We could not be more proud of the effort and teamwork they children displayed, and they all left both tired and thrilled with what they achieved that day.
