A fantastic night for the school football team last night as they clinched the league title with a 4-1 win over Westoe Crown (two goals for Rylan and a goal each for Hayden and Ethan) and a 1-0 win over Simonside (goal for Max). Well done to all the team.
Girls football returned after a break of almost two years and we were represented by two teams of girls from years 5 and 6.
Team A played really well and improved in each game and drew 0-0, lost 1-0 and drew 0-0.
Team B were excellent and drew 1-1 with a goal for Grace. Won 5-0, with 2 goals for Zofia and Grace and 1 for Ruby and won the final game 1-0 with Ruby scoring the winner.
Our new display boards in the Community Room have been populated with the work of our hardworking pupils.
We all know how important mental health and wellbeing are, so a big thank you to the NEU Help a Child to Learn Foundation, and to Thompson and Morgan for their support. Their donations have enabled us to give a Wellbeing Bag, complete with a range of resources to support wellbeing, to all of our pupils.
There’s something for everyone inside. Welcome back!
Who is up for a challenge?
Challenge the family in your house and try ‘The Outdoor Daily Walk Challenge’.
The children have had lots of fun making obstacle courses for their daily challenge.
We are all enjoying our daily exercise whilst being at home so this challenge was to find a new way to exercise. We have been doing anything from painting a fence to horse riding. It is clear that our children know how to have fun whilst keeping fit.
Try these exercises to help when reading and doing your timetables.
Active Story Time.
