Anti-Bullying Week is coordinated In England and Wales by the Anti-Bullying Alliance and takes place from 15 to 19 November 2021 and it has the theme One Kind Word. The week will begin with Odd Socks Day on Monday 15th.
Kindness is more important today than it has ever been. The isolation of the last year has underlined how little acts of consideration can break down barriers and brighten the lives of the people around us. This is one of the reasons, that ‘One Kind Word’ has been chosen as the theme of Anti-Bullying Week taking place from 15 to 19 of November 2021.
At Harton Primary, we will be embracing the ‘One Kind Word’ theme and celebrating the week with a range of activities. We are looking forward to a kindness filled week.
Look at our fantastic mark making! We used chalks to make some super firework pictures on the ground outside.
We love to build in Nursery. Take a look at our fantastic structures!
This week in Nursery we have been reading the story ‘A Day to Remember’ by Beth Eastham and making our own poppies. We hope you like our fabulous display!
This week we have been reading the story Room on the Broom. We have been talking about how we are going to be celebrating Halloween with our families. We really enjoyed carving some pumpkins and used excellent vocabulary to talk about how it felt.
Nursery have been exploring making marks in glitter.
In reception we have been learning about an artist Wassily Kandinsky. After observing his work, we designed our own ‘Wassily Kandinsky’ paintings using circles and a variety of different colours.
We had so much fun!
