Phonics

Today we would like you to practise reading some red words. This includes the words; was, my, he, we and she. You will find a video on Google classroom to help you.

Literacy

We would like you to create a Wanted poster for Burglar Bill. We would like you to use some wow words to describe him. For example ‘He has shiny boots’, or ‘He has a stripy top’.

Maths

Phonics

Today we would like you to practise the set 1 tricky words. You will find the video on Google Classroom. Red words cannot be sounded out with Fred Talk because they do not follow the spelling rules.  Today’s red words are ‘I, the, you, to, said’.

Literacy

Today we would like you to watch the video of Burglar Bill on Google Classroom.  Then make a list of the items Burglar Bill stole.  Remember to sound out your words and write the letters in response to their sound.  Please use your Read Write Inc sound chart with phrases to help you with letter formation.

Maths

Challenge: Can you put your words into sentences?

Literacy

This week our story is Burglar Bill. On Google Classroom, you can listen to the first part of the story. What do you think is in the box? We would like you to write a sentence telling us what you think is in the box. Remember to use Captain Finger Space when you are writing your sentence.

Tomorrow we will listen to the end of the story and we will reveal what is in the box!

Maths

Topic

Today we would like you to create a ‘Nature picture’. Go into your garden or for a walk and collect some natural materials such as sticks, leaves or stones. Using the objects you have collected, see if you can make your own picture.

Today we like you to write instructions ‘How to make pancakes’.  We have included a template on google classroom if you require an idea.

*Top Tip – remember to sound out loud and write the sounds you hear.  Use your ‘Read Write Inc’ sheet to help you form your letters correctly. Don’t forget to use ‘Sentence Super Heroes’ when writing your instructions.

Today we would like you to imagine that you are going to the shops to buy ingredients for making pancakes. To make sure that you do not forget any ingredients, you are going to make a shopping list. You need to think about what ingredients you will need to make the pancakes and what extras you would like to go with them (e.g chocolate sauce, bananas, strawberries, jam).
