Today we would like you to practise the set 2 sounds.

You are going to write as many words as you can think of with the ‘igh’ sound and then the ‘ow’ sound.

Challenge: Can you use some of these words in a sentence?

 

Literacy

Today we would like you to draw a picture of rainbow fish. Around your picture have a go at writing some words or sentences about being a good friend.

 

Maths

 

Last week we started to learn about money and about the amount each coin represents.

Today we would like you to have a look at different coins. Can you name the value of each coin? Can you tell your grown up how you can tell the difference between each coin?

Then, ask an adult to help you play shops. Can you identify the correct coin to pay for your items e.g. the teddy costs 5p which coins can you use to pay?

 

Topic

 

This week we are going to continue our topic ‘Under the Sea’. Today we would like you to look at the Under the Sea PowerPoint, this can be found on Google Classroom.

Draw or paint a picture of your favourite sea creature.

Today is our last day of home learning before we return to school on Monday! We would like you to write a sentence of some sentences telling us about what you are looking forward to doing when you come back to school. You could also write about a friend you are excited to see.

Today we would like you to use the ‘Chinese New Year Writing Activity’ sheet.  Please look at the two pictures and write a simple sentence to match each picture.  Don’t forget to use the key words, at the top of the page, in your sentence.  Always remember to use ‘Sentence Super Heroes’ when writing sentences.

In your pack you will find ‘Back to Earth with a Bump Thought Bubble’. Write what Hal is thinking. Is he happy? Excited? What can he see?
