This tern Reception have thoroughly enjoyed participating in ‘MINI MOVERS with PIP’. We have sang songs, wiggled our bodies in time to the music, worked hard at improving our throwing and catching skills and enjoyed themed racing. We all can’t wait to continue MINI MOVERS next term.
Wow! What a performance from our girl footballers this season. Not only did we win the division we played in we also won the Champions League to make us the best team in South Tyneside. All the girls who have represented the school this year have been fantastic and made huge improvements and were a pleasure to coach.
On Friday, 48 children from Years 3-6 took part in a cross-country tournament. All the children were fantastic and loved taking part. Max came third in the Year 6 boys race and Martha came third in the Year 5 girls race. Our most successful athlete on the day was Grace who won the Year 5 girls race.
A fantastic night for the school football team last night as they clinched the league title with a 4-1 win over Westoe Crown (two goals for Rylan and a goal each for Hayden and Ethan) and a 1-0 win over Simonside (goal for Max). Well done to all the team.
Harton 1 – 0 Valley View
An excellent performance from the Year 6 team as they continued their good form. A goal in the first half from Ethan put the lads ahead and only good goalkeeping prevented us from winning by a larger margin.
Ten Year 6 children today represented the school in a Boccia tournament held at Temple Park. The children had a fantastic time and played to a really high standard. Two of our teams met in a quarter final and the winners progressed to the final and were unlucky to lose by a narrow margin.
On Friday the 10th of December, the 40 children went to the Vertu Motor Arena (home of the Newcastle Eagles) to take part in the Year 5 Hoops4Health tournament. They took part in this event with 17 other teams from school across South Tyneside.
One of the 4 Harton teams sailed through their group stage undefeated, only to be beat by 2 baskets to zero in the Quarter Final knock out round.

Team B were excellent and drew 1-1 with a goal for Grace. Won 5-0, with 2 goals for Zofia and Grace and 1 for Ruby and won the final game 1-0 with Ruby scoring the winner.
The school football team continued their good form before the half term with two excellent performances.
In the first game the team won 3-1 against a strong Valley View team. Goals for Rylan x2 and Max.
In the second game they defeated Westoe Crown 4-0. Goals for Connor and Rylan x3.
Schools football leagues will now shut down until the New Year.
Monday was the last of the Year 6 hockey lessons. To celebrate they put all the skills they have been taught into practise and played a series of small-sided games against each other. The children really enjoyed this and it was clear to see the progress they have made.
