The Year 1 children have been working hard at home and keeping busy with some brilliant, creative activities. It’s wonderful to see the children’s happy faces and all of the fun they have been having!
Our daily challenge was to draw and colour a picture of a happy memory. They have chosen some fantastic memories to share.
We have loved seeing how the children have celebrated VE Day on Friday and made the most of the celebration whilst staying safe. We hope you all had a fantastic day.
Please send any work completed around this week’s Science topic of ‘Life Cycles and Reproduction’ to [email protected]
On Thursday, the children from Nursery and Reception learned all about VE day. They made special decorations and flags.
Our Reception children had lots of fun celebrating the 75th anniversary of VE Day. They worked hard making their own decorations and had a picnic with their families.
Our daily challenge was to throw a ball in the air and see how many claps you can do before catching it again. We managed up to 12 claps! How many can you do?
In our Art Deco lessons KS2 are going to look at the colours and styles of the Art Deco Movement.
This week I thought we could enjoy a nice, relaxing colouring activity. I have attached three different Art Deco designs for you to choose from. You can print out any one you like and colour it in.
For this session you will need:
Access to a computer
Coloured pencils, crayons or pens.
When you colour your design, remember that Art Deco uses bright, cheerful colours and bold outlines. You should use Primary colours (blue, red and yellow) and Secondary colours (two Primary colours mixed together – orange, green and purple). You could even add white to make pink, pale blue and pale green.
The pictures are at the end of this writing.
Have fun and stay safe.
Mr. Haikney
All of our local museums have added fantastic content to their websites to support home learning. We’d love to see what you have been doing at home!
