Your task today is to plan a character description using adjectives, adverbs and similes. You will be focusing on Grendel’s appearance, personality and movement. Remember- we looked at adjectives and adverbs on Friday when we focused on Grendel’s movements. This should help you today!
Follow the video on your Google Classroom linked with Miss Devlin and Miss Samuels talking you through the work. You can either plan your work using spider diagrams or using the table shown on the PowerPoint. Make sure you keep you plan in a very safe place as you will need it for tomorrow!

Science
Good afternoon Year 3! Today in Science, we will be learning about the different parts of the skeleton and their functions. Follow the PowerPoint slides to find out about today’s learning!
Task 1/Starter- Label/write down any of the bones that you know already. You can use the human outline task 1 document of draw your own human body outline.
Task 2/Main Activity- So far you have identified the common bone names. However, bones are also called by their scientific names. You are going to research the scientific names of bones to find where they are located in the human body. Use the main activity document to find out which specific scientific bones you will be researching.
Task 3- There are 3 functions of a skeleton: protection, movement and support. Watch the attached YouTube video link and complete the attached document (task 3). You are given different bones in the body and it your job to decide whether they protect, support or help move the body.
You may need to use your ipad/laptop to research some information for today’s lesson! Good luck and enjoy 🙂
