Today two of our Year 6 pupils represented Harton Primary at the unveiling of a special plaque at the Town Hall. The plaque was originally from the Queen Street Methodist Church and commemorates 103 men connected with the church who served in WW1 and 16 men who sadly lost their lives. The plaque was discovered up for auction in Cirencester and thanks to the efforts of the South Shields Local History Group, it has been returned to South Shields. Isabelle and Thomas laid a wreath made by our Reception children. After the ceremony, they met the Mayor who showed them around the Town Hall.
