Y3D enjoyed a fabulous meditation and yoga session delivered by Nadia from the Tranquil Treehouse.
We learned lots of new, exciting ways of thinking about our emotions. We never knew Yoga actually came about 5000 years ago!
It was really cool and fun we spotted some of our favourite sports starts completing yoga like Andy Murray, Ryan Giggs and Lady Gaga.
Today we learnt the camel and cobbler pose and chilled out whilst we meditated to some beautiful music – take a look!
Y3D had a fabulous time at their amazing Christmas party!
We played lots of fun party games, ate delicious party food and got our groove on at the disco!
We showed some unique dance moves and routines to our favourite tunes!
We all looked sensational!
Here’s a few pictures of us all having the best time ever!
This morning the children in Year 3 were super shocked to see an Elf had joined the year group! He left us some super challenging problems to solve in our maths lesson – we cracked Buddy’s puzzles!
All of the children have worked together to recreate the Christmas story and have retold the story in their own words. The children have been very proud of their work that has been showcased and displayed around school.
The school heating system has been repaired and school is open as normal.
Thank you for your co-operation.
Thank you for your co-operation today.
The heating engineer has been busy all day and we are hopeful that the school will reopen on Tuesday 11th December.
Please keep checking the website for updates.
Unfortunately, due to the school heating system not working efficiently this morning, we are sending children home at lunchtime.
We apologise for the inconvenience and will update parents with regard to school on Tuesday 11th as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Y3D had a fabulous time visiting the Great North Museum to find out lots about fossils.
We then had a lovely stroll along Northumberland Street to visit the wonderful Fenwick’s Festive Window to link in with our current Christmas Novel ‘The Snowman’. The children really enjoyed it and it was lovely to see their faces light out with the great design and moving windows.
In Year 3 and 4 we have been connecting with other cultures. We found out that some Spanish customs and traditions at Christmas time are similar to our own. Then we made cards and baubles to reflect what our local area can look like in Winter. We will be exchanging these with a school in Spain we have connections with.
Mr Donnelly visited Wellbeing Club this week and taught the group some greetings in Spanish. Pupils played a game to reinforce the language. They will use these new skills to communicate with Spanish pupils.
We have had a fabulous time in school this week. We have enjoyed many activities from hula-hoping, salsa dancing, running and making healthy snacks. On Thursday, we really enjoyed listening to Elizabeth, our inspirational speaker, who competed in the Paralympic Games. We hope you enjoy looking at some of our work that we have brought home from Children in Need Day and Anti-bullying week. We hope you enjoy looking at some of our photos, from Y3W.
