All of the children have worked together to recreate the Christmas story and have retold the story in their own words. The children have been very proud of their work that has been showcased and displayed around school.
Mrs Seales, our school cook, spent Monday teaching our Reception children some of the basics of nutritional cooking. They made a delicious vegetable soup, using lots of vegetables including a Halloween favourite, pumpkin. They all seemed to enjoy it.
Recently, children brought home leaflets for the Christmas Child Shoe Box appeal. We look forward to receiving filled shoe boxes donated to this wonderful charity.
If you are not able to fill a shoebox but would like to make a contribution towards one – please just send in the items with your child and we will fill shoe boxes with donated items.

This week our class celebrated Halloween by making a magical potion! All the children loved discussing what we could put their potion and were amazed when our potion started to bubble!
“The potion has changed now” “It looks like milkshake” “I would put spiders in my potion!”
“It’s getting bigger!”

YRP have enjoyed listening to some traditional tales in class.
We had some super storytellers acting out each story.
YRP were so happy to welcome a new member of the class. Please meet Freddy Bear. he is our class bear and the children were so excited to meet him.
After lots of discussion, the children chose their new bear and decided on his outfits.
Mrs Ratcliffe brought him in to the class where he was immediately made to feel welcome.
Over the next few months, Freddy will be visiting each child’s home and enjoying some new adventures. We can’t wait to find out what he has been up to!
The children in Reception have been listening to the story of Goldilocks and the three bears.
The teachers have been so impressed with their story language when retelling the story. At the end of the week the children were able to taste some porridge. Yum Yum!
We had lots of fun in YRE at our Arty Party. The t-shirts looked fantastic! We cannot wait to learn more about France during Europe Day on Friday 8th June. Thank you to all the parents/guardians for their continued support.
Thank you to all our families who came to decorate eggs. A fabulous time was had by all. We were very impressed with the creativity of everyone.
Thank you for your continued support.
