YRP’s very busy week!

Mrs Pettit’s class have had a very busy week!

On Wednesday we had a visit from one of our uncle’s – James.

He has a special job.  He is a paramedic.  He was very kind to come in and tell us about his very important job.  We tried some of his equipment and asked him lots of questions.

On Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day.  The snow didn’t stop us this time!

Our costumes looked fantastic and we had lots of fun.

We also had a visit from a dentist.  She told us how to keep our teeth clean and healthy.  Mrs Pettit gave us some new toothbrushes and we had a go at cleaning our teeth.

We had a great time at South Tyneside Hospital this morning. We learned about people who help us at the hospital and now know what to expect if we ever need to go.

YRM Centre for Life Visit

We had a fantastic time visiting the planetarium at the Centre for Life.

We learned all about the planets in the solar system and launched some rockets.

We even had time to create our own constellations.

We have had a fantastic day at the Centre for Life! We enjoyed looking at the planets and stars in the planetarium, participating in science workshops and learning in the explorers zone.
