Nursery Home Learning 13.1.21

13th January 2021Harton Nursery

Good morning Nursery.

We can see you have been very busy at home. Look at all of your fantastic photos from yesterday’s tasks.

Today’s home learning is:

Literacy

Use the coloured scarf from your home learning pack to make a range of large movements in the air. Draw large circles, up high and down low. Can you make straight lines from left to right and wiggly lines too? You could make the marks to music.

When you have finished try tracing the writing patterns on your dotty shape sheet with your white board pen. You can rub it out and practise again.

Maths

Use the dice from your home learning pack. Write a number on each face (1-6). Roll the dice and find that many objects. Can you count them carefully, pointing to each one?

Nursery Home Learning 12.1.21

12th January 2021Ms A Emmerson

Look at the super home learning our Nursery children have completed! We can see the children LOVED making their own silly soup and building really tall and really small towers with objects from around the house. Nothing is stopping our children from learning, Isaac even continued during his trip to the hospital.

Todays home learning is:

Literacy

Today we are finding objects which rhyme. Can you find objects which rhyme in your house? Maybe a cat and a … ? A dog and a … ? Some socks and a … ? The children could add these objects to their silly soup as we know how much they enjoyed it yesterday.

Maths

Use the Ten Town number cards from your home learning pack. Can you recognise each number? Use the characters to help if you need to. Start with numbers 0 to 5. Hide them around your room/house and go on a hunt to find them. What number did you find? Include numbers 6-10 if you can recognise 0-5.

Todays home learning is:

Literacy

Choose a book to share with an adult. Do you have a favourite book at home? Can you talk about what is happening in the story? Tell your adult about the story using the pictures. We would love to see a photograph of you sharing your book at home.

Maths

Today you are going to do look at more and less at the same time. Collect two groups of your favourite toys. Today can you tell your adult which one has less and which one has more? How do you know which group has less and which has more? Can you count them to check? Regroup your toys and repeat. Use the words more and less when you tell your adult about your toys.

8th January 2021E BEATTIE

Good morning Reception!

We loved seeing all your fantastic work yesterday and we are looking forward to seeing all your hard work today.

Phonics

Today we would like you to learn the sound ‘ow’. You will find a video at: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDe74j1F52zTYEYHmhC68VV_LVvzu-imu

We would like you to watch the video, recognising and saying the ‘ow’ sound. Once the video has finished use your whiteboard from your home learning pack to practise writing the ‘ow’ sound.

Challenge: Can you write some sentences using some “ow” words?

Maths

We would like you to explore the White Rose session 5 Activity. The video and resources can be found at:

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/early-years/alive-in-5-week-1/

When you record your score, remember to use the Ten Town characters to form your numbers correctly.

Science

This term we are learning all about Space! We would like you to write down some space facts. What do you already know about space? And what would you like to find out?

Remember to send photographs of any completed activities to [email protected]

If you have any questions or need anything, please get in touch!
