Nursery Home Learning 19.1.21

19th January 2021Ms A Emmerson

Happy Tuesday Nursery!

We have been so impressed with your home learning and yesterday you made us extra proud. We can see how happy you are of your achievements in rhyming and when representing number, we even received some photos of celebration dances when the learning had been successful! Keep it up everyone you are doing an amazing job!

Todays learning activities are:

Literacy

Join in with the silly soup rhyming session with Miss Emmerson! Follow the link sent via Marvellous Me. Challenge! Can you continue a rhyming string to your adult after the session?

Maths

Use your home learning pack. You will need the Ten Town cards, dice and bead string. Draw dots on the blank dice to make it look like a standard 1-6 dice, just the same as yesterday! Roll the dice and count the dots. Which number did you roll? Show your adult by selecting the correct Ten Town card and then by moving the correct amount of beads across the bead string.

Nursery Home Learning 18.1.21

18th January 2021Ms A Emmerson

Good morning Nursery!

We cannot believe it is the start of week 3. You have absolutely blown our socks off so far by working so hard at home. A huge marshmallow clap and round of a claws for you! This week as we are staring our ‘People who help us’ topic! We are starting it by looking at vets. Do you know what a vet is and how they help our community?

Todays activities are:

Literacy

We are looking at objects that rhyme again. Look at the rhyming cards that we will send to you via Marvellous Me. Can you find the matching pairs? One object rhymes with one pet. Say each object out loud because that will help you!

Maths

This week we are looking at different ways to represent number. Use your home learning pack. You will need the Ten Town cards and a blank dice. Draw dots on the blank dice to make it look like a standard 1-6 dice. Roll the dice and count the dots. Can you tell your adult which number you rolled? After you have told them, show them which number you have rolled by selecting the correct Ten Town card and then by holding up the correct amount of fingers.

Please share your child’s achievements via the Nursery email. It is [email protected] . We love to celebrate the achievements with you!

Thank you for your continued support.

Nursery Home Learning 15.1.21

15th January 2021K HAMILTON

Good morning everyone.

Our Nursery children have been working very hard at home. They have been copying shapes in lots of different ways in English. In Maths they have been recognising numbers from Ten Town. Well done to everyone who has taken part in our activities this week.

Activities for today

English

Friday is library day.

Choose a favourite book from home to share with an adult. What can you see on the front cover? What is your book about? What characters are in your book? Use the pictures to tell your story. We would love you to send us a photo of you enjoying your favourite book at home.

Maths

Use the dice from your home learning pack. On each face write the numbers 1-6. Roll the dice and use your whiteboard to draw that number of WINTER objects. You could try icicles, footprints in the snow, snowballs or snowmen. How about snowflakes too? What other winter objects can you think of?

Remember to send photographs of any completed activities to [email protected]

If you have any questions or need anything, please get in touch!

Nursery Home Learning 14.1.21

14th January 2021K HAMILTON

Good morning Nursery.

Thank you for all the hard work that is happening at home. You have all been very busy putting your home learning packs to good use and having lots of fun at the same time. Well done everyone!

Here are the tasks for today.

English

Use the dice from your home learning pack. On each face draw a simple shape (a circle, a wiggly line, a straight line, a spiral). Can you copy the shape using a pencil. Roll the dice and copy the pattern, big at first, then getting smaller.

Maths

Use the dice from your home learning pack again. On each face write the numbers 1-6. Use your whiteboard to draw a simple snowman shape. When you roll the dice, draw that many buttons on the snowman.

Remember to send your photographs to [email protected]

If you have any questions please get in touch.
