In Art, this half-term Key Stage 2 will be studying Art Deco by looking at the lives and works of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Clarice Cliff.
This week we will begin by looking at the designs of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
For this session you will need:
Access to a computer
Any sheet of blank paper
A circular lid to draw around
A pencil
Coloured pencils, crayons or pens.
To begin, look at the background information on Rennie Mackintosh on Kiddle by following the link below:

Rennie Mackintosh (and other Art Deco Artists) used simple, bold mages from nature and geometric shapes and straight lines.
Today, we will have some fun drawing a Rennie Mackintosh rose. This is a design which features in much of his work. Watch the video via the link below and have a go yourself.

Keep your drawings and we’ll show them off when we’re all back together.
Good luck and stay safe.
