Today will be our last day on Multiplication and Division – We will be looking at how many ways we can represent a calculation by using concrete resources to help us.

Today our literacy lesson has a reading focus, we will be making predictions! Can you remember what a prediction is? Watch the video lesson on your Google Classroom to find out. Don’t forget to have your pencil and paper ready before you begin.

Your task
Write a paragraph (4 or 5 sentences) to predict what you think will happen at the end of the Beowulf story. Don’t forget to use conjunctions in your work to extend your sentences and give lots of detail to your predictions.

Challenge!
Can you justify your prediction?
E.g I predict this because Beowulf is brave and strong, he is the hero and the hero almost always survives.

In our google meet this afternoon, we will be reading the end of the story so you can see if your prediction was correct!

Science
This is the final lesson of our animals including humans topic- well done for producing some fabulous work over the past few weeks!

Starter: Can you match the common bone names with the scientific bone names (how many have you remembered from last lesson?)

Main Activity: You are going to researching in today’s lesson. Your task is to choose 3 major skeletal muscle pairs and research where each of the muscles are in the body and find out what their function is. You can record your research on a piece of paper- make sure this is your best handwriting!

The biceps are muscles on the front part of the upper arm. Biceps bend the forearm and are used in lifting and pulling movements.
