English
Your English lesson today will be live at 10am so you must join to be taught by your teachers – the recording of this will then be uploaded onto your Google Classroom for you to refer back to whilst you are completing your task.

Learning Objective
To know what a synonym is.

Success Criteria
I can choose appropriate synonyms.

I can use a thesaurus to find synonyms.

Today we will be using an online thesaurus to find synonyms for boring adjectives that describe well know characters.

Your Task: We expect around 5 adjectives with 5 different synonyms to go with the original adjective.
Rank synonyms from lest powerful to most powerful maybe use colour shading to show how one is good but 5 is amazing!
You will then turn them into sentences to check the synonym you have chosen is appropriate and you understand the meaning.

Science
We are starting a brand new topic this half term called Light and Dark. Today our learning objective is to know that we need light to see things, and that dark is the absence of light.

Your first activity is going to be the ‘Light Source Sorting Game’ accessed via your Google Classroom . You can either print or simply write down which of the cards are sources of light and which ones are not.

Main Activity- You are going to complete the attached worksheet on your Google Classroom by filling in the missing blanks. This will be on all the things you have learnt today. If you can not print the sheet you can write the sentences out in your best handwriting!

Enjoy! Send your fabulous work to [email protected] 🙂
