Some of our year 6 children visited the Victoria Tunnels today. They found out what it was like to be down in the tunnels during an air raid in World War II – where people slept, how long they would be there for and how they went to the toilet. Basil, a 90 year-old told them about his experiences during the war and down in the tunnels when he was 10.

The guides were all really impressed with the interest, questions and behaviour of all of the children who went – well done year 6.
