Wednesday 13th January

Good morning everyone!

Google Meets will take place at 8.50am and 2.30pm. Morning meets will be used to discuss the work for the day. We will use our afternoon meet to continue reading This morning I met a Whale by Michael Morpurgo.

The lessons for today are Maths, Reading Plus, English, Spellings, Art and French.

Maths:

Efficient multiplication methods is today’s focus. Watch the video and then complete the worksheet.

Reading Plus:

Complete 15 minutes worth of activities. Remember to read carefully. You can use your ReReads if unsure.

English:

Yesterday, you identified 2 blue whale topic areas and you used the internet to find more information about them. You used bullet points to record this information.

Choose 1 of your topic areas. Suggest a suitable sub-heading ( for example ‘What do whales eat?’) and then present these facts underneath it as a paragraph. You might want to add relevant facts from last week’s spider diagrams too!

Your paragraph should be at least 8 sentences in length. You will need to include fronted adverbials and you must write in the third person.

Take a look at the videos first. You will need to sign in to watch the Espresso clip (‘Using headings and sub-headings’).

Please write your paragraphs by hand and then upload your work to Google Classroom.

Spelling:

Look at this week’s spellings on Google Classroom and complete the activity.

Art

Look at the Powerpoint and then answer the questions about Henri Rousseau’s work.

French

Today, you will be learning to ask and tell the time. Read and listen to the videos. Submit your answers on Google Classroom.

If you finish today’s lessons, continue to work on your positivity poster. We will share these during Friday’s 2.30pm meet.

All resources can be found on Google Classroom.

Please submit work by uploading it as an attachment in Classroom.

Have a great day everyone!
