Our usual Tuesday morning Attendance Assembly was very special on this last Tuesday of the academic year. Toffee, our attendance bear, is normally given out. But today we gave out special certificates and vouchers instead to celebrate those children who had achieved 100% or very nearly.
185 children had been given red caps to celebrate 100% attendance during the Summer Term. They wore them for the assembly and it was wonderful to see such a huge sea of red heads.
68 children achieved 99% attendance for the full year. They received a certificate and a £5 voucher.
63 children achieved 100% for the year. Their reward was a certificate and a £10 voucher.
An award to a year 6 for extra effort was also given out.
Finally, we awarded a certificate and a £25 voucher to two children in year 6 who have achieved 100% for their four years in Upper School.
The assembly ended with all the children who achieved 100% this year entering a raffle for an iPad. Number 24 was the lucky number and a young girl in Reception will be going home tonight with an iPad mini.
As a school, attendance is an issue on which we place great importance. Our dream is for every child throughout the school to achieve 100% attendance for the year.
Can you help us achieve this, please?
