On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Year 3 were invited to St Lawrence the Martyr Church to learn about the Christmas story as part of the RE curriculum (What do Christians believe about Christmas?).

We did six different activities representing different elements of the Christmas story.

  1. Making angels because the angels spread the good news that Jesus had been born.
  2. We wrote things we are thankful for on leaves to make a Thankfulness tree.
  3. Thinking about how Mary and Joseph might have felt in the stable, we wrote how we were feeling that day.
  4. We made stained glass windows of the Three Kings travelling to see the new baby Jesus.

  5. On a star, we made Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus.
  6. We made bracelets, with different coloured beads to represent the different parts of the Nativity story.
