Competitive football returned this week with the girls taking part in the Alan Grimes Cup.

In the group stage the girls played 5 games and won all 5.
Harton 4 -0 St Gregory’s (2 goals for Zofia and Grace)
Harton 4 – 0 Marsden (3 goals for Zofia and 1 for Grace)
Harton 3 – 2 Jarrow Cross (1 goal each for Zofia, Caitlin and Grace)
Harton 1 – 0 Toner Avenue (goal for Zofia)
Harton 4 – 0 Cleadon (4 goals for Zofia)

This put us through to the semi finals and we played Lord Blyton.

Harton 3 – 0 Lord Blyton (3 goals for Zofia)

In the final we played East Boldon and despite taking the lead we were unfortunately defeated.

An excellent performance from all the girls with several playing their first ever competitive games of football.
