TTRockstar Champions

7th April 2020G Booth

Every fortnight, we celebrate our Times Table Rockstar Champions. This is the class who have achieved the highest percentage of accurate answers over the last 2 weeks while playing on Times Table Rockstars. The certificate is usually awarded in assembly and displayed on our classroom doors. Unfortunately we can’t do this at the moment, however we know everyone would love to know that the current champions are…

Congratulations Y5J!

We also celebrate the pupil who has improved the most over the 2 weeks. The individual Rockstar Champion is in Y4C. Well Done!

Keep up all your hard work. Who will be the next Times Table Rockstar Champions?

Times Tables Rockstars app and NumBots app are available to download on all android and Apple devices.

Free Maths resources to access at home

1st April 2020M Noble

Dear Parents / Carers,

We wanted to share some extra maths resources that have been made available
online for you try at home with your children:

1) At school we use a programme called White Rose Maths. They have
produced some online tutorials and activities that children can complete at
home for free. These are organised by year group. Simply click on the link
below and select your child’s year group. If the activities are too tricky,
simply select an earlier year group, or you can add greater challenge by
selecting a more advanced year group:
https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/

2) We also work with a Maths consultant called Andrew Jeffrey who has
set up an online guide full of maths resources that are available
completely free of charge. Click on the link below and enter your details to
register:
https://andrewjeffrey.sendibble.com/Maths-for-Parents-072ac482-
caaa5d31

3) Andrew Jeffrey has produced a series of books called “We Love Maths
Home Activity Packs.” Normally these can only be purchased in bulk by
schools. However, he is currently offering to post single copies to parents
for a cost of £2.50 plus postage. If you would like to request a copy, you
can e-mail him directly at info@andrewjeffrey.co.uk

Best wishes to everyone!
From all the staff at Harton Primary School

NumBots and TimesTables Rockstars

20th December 2019G Booth

We have introduced a new online learning platform called NumBots.  This game is aimed at boosting addition and subtraction skills for all aged children.

Since the success of Times Tables Rockstars in encouraging children to master times table and division fact instant recall, we would like their skills with mental addition and subtraction to be just as good. NumBots will help! More importantly, children in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 can access the games.

All children start at the same place in Story mode, and when they get to a certain stage they will unlock Challenge mode. The idea is that they play little and often, and this will significantly improve their understanding of number bonds and addition and subtraction facts.

The login is exactly the same as the one for Times Tables Rockstars – Key Stage 1 parents should have received parent letters with new login details.

Times Tables Rockstars app and NumBots app are available to download on all android and Apple devices.
