Year 4 have thoroughly enjoyed reading Roald Dahl’s book ‘The Witches’. We even read the playscript version and practiced reading with actions, expression and intonation. The children were then inspired to convert an extract from the story into a scene of the play. They used interesting lines of dialogue as well as detailed stage directions.
