After a break of three years, the Bart Rippon Cup returned this week. Following on from winning their league title earlier in the year, the team had a good chance of progressing in the cup. In the group stages, the children were unbeaten, without conceding a goal, and defeated East Boldon in the final group game with a late goal to progress through to the semi-final stage. Unfortunately, a fantastic free kick for Hebburn Lakes was the only goal of the game and the boys had to play in the third placed game. In this game they beat St. Aloysius 2 nil to finish third out of almost twenty teams.
Well done boys.
