Phonics and reading:
Read Write Inc. Phonics will be hosting lessons on the Ruth Miskin YouTube for children to watch at home. Each daily lesson will be shown at 9.30 am and will be available for 24 hours. We will therefore post these links separately shortly after 9.30am.
Today’s sound will be the ‘ar’ sound.
English- To plan a story
Draw a story map of the text Hansel and Gretel. Think of the key events and draw a picture to help you remember what happened. Make sure you think carefully about the sequence of events. This will be used to support with work on Thursday and Friday.

Today we will be working on 2d shapes, identifying and naming them. Please watch the video and complete the tasks.
Science-To identify everyday materials
Watch the video and listen to the materials song to help the children explore some different materials and what they are used for.
Like last week, we are exploring object around the house but today we would like you to find objects which may be made of more than one material. Think about why they may be made from more than one thing, what is each material good for?
