Y3 created our own seasonal salads.
Our teachers told us to wash our hands to kill any bacteria whilst they cleaned our tables with disinfectant spray to prepare our cooking spaces.
We then looked at all of the seasonal salad items that we had to choose from. We carefully used the knives to chop all of our ingredients before placing them into bowls in the middle of our tables to choose what we would like in our salads. It felt like we were at a salad bar!
We choose our lettuce first, then moved along the vegetables to pick what seasonal items we wanted to include – some of us had a little taste along the way to check we liked it before adding it to our salad!
We then added our cheese or meat selection before carefully squeezing a dash of lemon, lime or orange onto it to give it a little zing!
We can’t wait to eat them for our tea this evening!
