This week, Y6 are using the short clip ‘Alma’ as a stimulus for their writing.

We started off by creating a blurb for the clip, as though it was a written book. The children looked at the blurbs from their Accelerated Reader books and from lots of other books to help them identify the features of blurbs before writing their own.

They’ve really tried to build up suspense and encourage others to read the tale.
