Phonics

Impress your adults by repeating each sound when the card is held up. Watch it the first time with the sound on and then watch it again without the sound on. Can you tell your adult every sound?

Read the story Nog on a Jog. Can you read this to your adult? Check Marvellous Me for a copy of the book!

Writing

Listen to the story Aliens Love Underpants. Why did the aliens visit Earth? What did the aliens do on Earth? What happened at the end of the story? Tell your adult!

Design your own underpants and complete the sentence.

Tell your adult what they look like! As a challenge can you write the sentence with help?

Maths

This week we are exploring shapes with four sides! We are looking at squares and rectangles and discussing their properties. Can you tell your adult that squares are special rectangles? They have four straight sides, that are all the same size! They also have four corners. Can you tell your adult about rectangles? They have four straight sides, two are long and two are short. They have four corners, the same as squares.

Go on a shape hunt around your house, garden or when you are out. Can you find squares and rectangles? How do you know it is a square or a rectangle that you have found?
