Nursery Visits – Reception Stay and Play
In July your child’s Reception teacher will visit their current Nursery setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to meet their new teacher whilst in a familiar environment.
In September you and your child will be invited to attend our Stay and Play sessions. On the first visit to Reception at Harton you can stay at school and play alongside your child so that they become familiar with the Reception environment and staff in the comfort of your care. At this session you will have the opportunity share everything we need to know about your child. This may include likes, dislikes, particular interests or any allergies, medication or additional needs to help us plan for the care and development of your child.
The government have put together this resource to help ensure that children are really ready and prepared to start Reception in September. Please follow the link below to have a look and feel free to contact school if you have any questions about what you need to do to ensure your child is school-ready.
