Tonight saw the start of the school football teams season.
In the first game the boys beat Mortimer 3-0 with only good goalkeeping and the woodwork stopping the boys from winning by a bigger margin.
In the second game the boys played some fantastic football and SS Peters and Paul’s were unable to compete as the boys won 10-0.

At Harton Technology, 8 of our year 6s took part in the Hoops4Health tournament. We played all morning, taking part in 4 games ourselves and then staying to watch the finals between St. Aloysius and St. Bede.
We had a great morning, some grumbling aside. Can’t wait for the next Year 6s to take part in 2017.
The boys played their last fixtures of the season last week at Temple Park. A hard fought 0-0 draw with Westoe Crown saw Josh man of the match for his performance in defence.
In the second game an early goal by man of the match Mason saw the boys run out 1-0 winners over SS Peters and Pauls.
The final league table had us finish in joint second position. All the boys can be proud of themselves this season and I thank them and the parents for their efforts this season.
Year 5 and Year 6 competed in a South Tyneside gymnastics competition at Temple Park.
We all had a fantastic day. One Year 6 team came second, Abi came 3rd in the Open Floor competition and Toni won the ‘Design a leotard’ competition. Well done everyone!
All the children in Year 2 have been learning Irish Dancing as part of their P.E. curriculum.

On Wednesday 9th December, some year 1 and year 2 children entered a gymnastics competition at South Tyneside Gymnastics Centre. We all had lots of fun. If your child is interested in gymnastics, mixed sessions run Monday-Friday 4-5pm and 5-6pm at Temple Park Leisure Centre. Contact www.stgym.co.uk
Today we have a visit from some Newcastle Eagles players, to give us our Hoops4Health Roadshow come to school today. They explained to use the importance eating right, exercising to stay fit, the dangers smoking has to our health and basketball activities.
