This half term the children in the nursery have been visited by the staff from The Foundation of Light. All the children are taking part in Little Dribblers sessions and as you can see they are clearly enjoying themselves.
It’s cold outside….
All of our morning and afternoon children have been having so much fun in nursery!
We all began by looking at lots of vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, new potatoes, Swede, squash and celery.
Some children were able to carefully help chop up vegetables to help make some soup to warm us up.
Once cooked all of the children had the chance to taste the soup with some tasty warm rolls. It was delicious! They even had second helpings!
Whilst trying the soup we made our very own and very safe fireworks from pop and mints. The children were so excited to see what happened next….
The cold doesn’t bother us anyway!
Children from both our morning and afternoon nursery classes provided entertainment for parents and staff on Thursday 7th July to celebrate all of their hard work since coming into Nursery last September. They have all made amazing progress.
They performed their favourite songs and had a very special visitor. Some of the children won awards for 100 and 99 percent attendance too. Miss Chipchase handed out awards and prizes and also stayed to enjoy the songs.

AFTERNOON NURSERY
We have had some very special visitors in our Nursery this week.
Zoo Academy visited the Foundation Stage as part of our ‘Animals’ topic.
The children got to see some weird and wonderful creatures up close. Some children were even brave enough to hold them!
We were very impressed with their confidence when faced with creatures such as a python, a bull frog, a millipede, land snails, a bearded dragon and ………. a tarantula!!!
