Today your task is to plan a fact file. Click on the attached PowerPoint video on your Google Classroom to hear Miss Samuels discuss your learning for today in more detail. The video will explain what a fact file is and what may be included in a fact file.
Main Activity:
Your task today is to plan your fact file. You will be researching interesting facts about your chosen myth or legend. You can record your findings from your research on a piece of paper. You can either write your fact file on the poem Beowulf or choose ONE from the following myths/legends:
– The Lambton Worm
– The Loch Ness monster
– Robin Hood
You MUST make sure to keep your plan in a safe place because you will be using your plans tomorrow to write up your fact file. We look forward to hearing about what you have found about your chosen myth/legend!

History
Although the Romans built up towns in Britain, the majority of people still lived in the countryside. Many people continued to live in Celtic-style roundhouses. Can you remember what these looked like from when we studied the Iron Age? Richer people lived in larger houses called villas. Today we are going to look specifically at Roman Villas. Use the PowerPoint lesson on your Google Classroom to begin your lesson.
Your Task
You are going to act as estate agents and create an advertisement for a Roman villa.
What will they need to include?
-A picture of the villa
-The different rooms they have chosen.
-Any extras such as slaves.
-The decoration such as mosaics.
You can use the template below or use a piece of paper to create your own design! Don’t forget to share your work to us at [email protected] or hand it in via Google classroom.
